Typical Application Product Code Description
Any mating surfaces that requires dry lubrication in low contact pressure applications such as rotary actuators, carburetors, bearings, seat belt clips, actuators, etc. 1010 Resin-bonded PTFE, thermoset, dry-film lubricant designed for conventional spray techniques. It is used to reduce friction, prevent scoring and galling, or provide secondary lubrication in the event of failure of the primary (conventional) lubricant.
Any mating surfaces that requires dry lubrication in moderate contact pressure applications, such as fasteners, threaded components, hinge pins, piston casings and compressors. 1014 Resin-bonded PTFE, thermoset, dry-film lubricant designed for conventional spray techniques. It is primarily used on studs and bolts to prevent corrosion and facilitate make-up torque. Because of its predictable, low-friction properties, less “make-up” torque is required to produce the specified tension. During assembly, clamp loads are increased; “scatter” is reduced. Friction values are predictable and significantly enhance conventional surface treatments such as phosphate and platings. The low-friction properties also reduce “break-out” torque, which allows removal of bolting with a wrench instead of a blowtorch.
Oil tools, pumps, valves, actuators, impellers and offshore components. 1212 Resin-bonded, thermoset, non-lubricated coating designed for conventional spray techniques. It is used as a stand-alone thin film, corrosion resistant, barrier coating, or as a primer for Xylan 1213.
Metal seals, collet connectors, offshore components and other applications to reduce wear of bearing surfaces under high load. 1213 Resin-bonded, thermoset, dry-film lubricant designed for conventional spray techniques. It is formulated for high contact pressure, low-speed, wear applications and provides long-term lubrication for bearing surfaces subjected to extreme pressures. The coating is heavily loaded with MoS2 (no PTFE) and is superior to “moly” greases which wash away. Xylan 1213 is clean to the touch, unlike other moly coatings that leave a soot-like residue.
Valves, oil tools, chemical processing equipment, offshore components and down-hole tools. 1311 Resin-bonded, thermoset, minimally lubricated coating designed for conventional spray techniques. A tough, economical, single-film PPS/PTFE coating. This product contains a small percentage of PTFE lubricant. Recommended for use when abrasion resistance is the primary characteristic sought and lubrication and/or nonwetting properties are secondary considerations.
Valves, oil tools, chemical processing equipment, offshore components and down-hole tools. 1331 Resin-bonded PTFE, thermoset, lubricated coating designed for conventional spray techniques. A tough, economical, single-film PPS/PTFE coating. This resin-bonded coating is virtually unaffected by any solvent to 205°C (400°F). It contains a high percentage of PTFE and is recommended for use when a lubricious nonstick surface is desired.
Valves, oil tools, riser connectors, chemical processing equipment, offshore components and down-hole tools. 1391 Resin-bonded, thermoset, non-lubricated coating designed for conventional spray techniques. A tough, economical, single-film PPS coating. This resin-bonded coating is virtually unaffected by any solvent to 205°C (400°F). May be used as stand-alone material for excellent corrosion, chemical and abrasion resistance or as a primer for Xylan 1311 or 1331. Combined, they provide an excellent two-coat system for the chemical processing industry.
Components needing a corrosion resistant coating, but dimensional tolerances do not permit a thick-film coating. Fasteners and threaded components for oil and gas, chemical processing, building, roofing or appliance industries. 1400 Resin-bonded, thermoset, minimally lubricated coating designed for conventional spray techniques. A recoatable ”RC" coating developed to protect large fasteners from chemical exposure (especially those with high pH). Although it contains a small percentage of PTFE lubricant to facilitate installation and prevent galling, it is considered a barrier coating rather than a dry-film lubricant.

It is formulated for high contact pressure, low-speed wear applications and provides long-term lubrication for bearing surfaces subjected to extreme pressures, up to 150,000 psi (10,500 kg/cm2). The coating uses a unique dual lubrication system of PTFE and MoS2 and is superior to “moly” greases which wash away and PTFE coatings which “cold flow.” Resin-bonded lubricants in Xylan 1425 stay on the job, even in harsh chemical environments. Note: VOC compliance applies to USA only.

It is primarily used on studs and bolts to prevent corrosion and facilitate make-up torque. Because of its predictable, low-friction properties, less “make-up” torque is required to produce the specified tension. During assembly, clamp loads are increased; “scatter” is reduced. It is used to reduce friction, prevent scoring and galling, or provide secondary lubrication in the event of failure of the primary (conventional) lubricant.

The coating utilizes a unique dual lubrication system of PTFE and MoS2 and is superior to “moly” greases which wash away and PTFE coatings which “cold flow.” Resin-bonded lubricants in Xylan 1052 stay on the job, even in harsh chemical environments.
Use for anti-galling of titanium valve parts or connectors. 1053 PTFE MOS2 blend.
Dry film lubrication over a wide range of pressures and speeds; air conditioner compressor swash plates. 1054 Resin-bonded, thermosetting, dry-film lubricant designed for conventional spray techniques. It utilizes PTFE, MoS2 and graphite as the lubricants. Designed for long-term lubrication and wear applications over broad conditions of pressure and speed.
Applications demanding high lubrication and heavy wear, i.e., lab equipment. 1088 As 1010 but with internal reinforcement to give longer life performance and improved wear resistance.
Dry film lubricant for chemical processing equipment. 1331 This resin-bonded coating which is virtually unaffected by any solvent to 205°C [400°F] contains a high percentage of PTFE and is recommended for use when a highly lubricious nonstick surface is desired. It is intended for application by conventional spray techniques.
Any mating surfaces that need dry lubrication; rotary actuators; carburetors; bearings; seat belt clips; actuators. 1421 This VOC compliant, resin-bonded, PTFE based coating may be used on any component to reduce friction, prevent scoring and galling, or provide secondary lubrication in the event of failure of the primary (conventional) lubricant. This coating also provides a degree of chemical resistance. It is intended for application by conventional spray techniques. Note: VOC compliance applies to USA only
Any mating surface which requires lubrication; hinge pins; piston casings; compressors; threaded fasteners. 1424 This VOC compliant, resin-bonded, PTFE based coating is primarily formulated for use on fasteners to prevent corrosion and facilitate make-up torque. It is intended for application by conventional spray techniques. Note: VOC compliance applies to USA only.
Extreme pressure, low speed applications; blow out preventors. 1425 A VOC-compliant coating, which is designed for application by conventional spray techniques, providing long-term lubrication for bearing surfaces subjected to extreme pressures: up to 150,000 psi (10,500 kg/cm2). The coating uses a unique dual lubrication system of PTFE and MoS2. Superior to “moly” greases which wash away and PTFE coatings which may have the potential to “cold flow”, resin-bonded lubricants in Xylan 1425 stay on the job, even in harsh chemical environments. Note: VOC compliance applies to USA only
Threaded fasteners; dip spin parts; small components; screws. 5110 Resin-bonded, thermosetting, PTFE based, dry-film lubricant coating designed for a dip spin technique. It is used to reduce friction.
Food chutes; sweet molds; circular knife blades. 8110 Resin-bonded, thermosetting, dry-film lubricant / easy-clean coating designed for conventional spray techniques.
